How the Score Is Calculated

AI Mentions (25 points maximum): We run 20 to 40 prompts across ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot each month. For each prompt, we record:

  • Whether your business is mentioned (1 point per mention).
  • Whether the mention is accurate (bonus 0.5 points for correct information).
  • Whether a link to your website is provided (bonus 0.5 points).

The raw mention count is normalised to a 25-point scale based on the total prompts tested.

GBP Health (25 points maximum): We score your Google Business Profile across 10 field categories, each worth 2.5 points:

  • Primary and secondary categories (correct and complete).
  • Business description (entity-rich, AI-optimised).
  • Services section (all services listed with descriptions).
  • Photos (10+ photos, updated within 90 days).
  • Posts (at least 1 post in the last 7 days).
  • Q&A (15+ seeded questions with authoritative answers).
  • Attributes (all relevant attributes filled).
  • Hours (accurate and updated for holidays).
  • Products (if applicable, all listed).
  • Reviews (response rate of 90%+).

Reviews (25 points maximum): Review scoring combines four factors:

  • Velocity (10 points): 5+ reviews/month = full points, scaled linearly below that.
  • Average rating (5 points): 4.5+ stars = full points.
  • Response rate (5 points): 100% responses = full points.
  • Response time (5 points): Under 24 hours average = full points.

AI Traffic (15 points maximum): Measured through GA4 AI referral tracking:
